Counselling

SAGE Counselling

SAGE Counselling is a home counselling service for adults with limited mobility, who have difficulty in accessing traditional counselling services. These difficulties may be physical, psychological or social. Counsellors visit clients in their own homes, but also in Nursing Homes or residential care.

Due to current Covid 19 Pandemic restrictions, we are currently offering all sessions by telephone or Zoom.

Topics which clients may wish explore include depression, anxiety, bereavement and loss, disability, loneliness, loss of independence, relationship issues, unresolved conflicts and adjusting to change.

Counselling helps some people make changes, while others are able to come to terms with distress and painful life events.

Following referral clients will be offered an assessment to gather more information and to ensure our service is right for them at that time. A further 6 weekly sessions will be arranged, with a possible extension to 12 sessions, if deemed clinically appropriate. Each session lasts 50 minutes. We aim to make contact with new clients within 1 week of referral.
