2. Community Group Programme- Zoom
Detailed here are Sussex Oakleaf’s online groups, which are held over Zoom. Zoom is a conference calling app which can be downloaded onto most devices. If you are unconfident with technology, don’t worry, our friendly Recovery Workers can support you to get involved.
Monday
Crafty Fingers 11:00-12:00
Arts and craft group that meets to work on various projects such as diamond art, knitting and sewing. The group regularly raises money for other charities through their projects
Mindfulness Based Recovery Course 11:00 – 13:00
An 8 week Mindfulness based recovery course, utilizing Relaxation and Reflective skills to promote wellbeing and recovery. Facilitated by an accredited Mindfulness Trainer
Art 12:00-14:00
Art group for those that are interested in meeting in a safe environment to try out different techniques, Facilitated by a very talented local artist.
Mindfulness Drop in – 15:00 – 16:00
An open drop in session to practice mindfulness. Relaxation exercises, body scans and discussions. A great place to try an introduction to mindfulness in a safe space.
Tuesday
Relax and Breathe 11:00 – 12:00
Practice relaxation techniques in a safe environment. Visualization and breathing exercises
Creative Writing 11:00 – 12:30
This relaxed and interactive group encourages everyone who may have a keen interest to develop their writing abilities and for those who may just be making a start on their “writing” journey. All participants are welcome whether they have written pieces before or not
Activity Group 13:00-14:00
A weekly changing activity. Learn a magic trick, Bingo, Quiz. A safe space to socialize and enjoy with a fun activity or discussion
Laines Organic Farm Group 1st and 3rd Tuesday of month 12:30 – 16:30 on hold
Enjoy plenty of bracing fresh air, learn new farm based skills and opportunities to get creative. Different tasks undertaken at each session. Wear strong footwear and suitable clothing
French Group 15:00 – 16:00 fortnightly
Bonjour! Have a go at learning some basic French - for all abilities

An informal drop in every Tuesday afternoon to socialize, engage in activities and discuss

Open Access 11:00 – 12:00
An open format session to come together and connect with others
Virtual Tour Group 2pm-3pm
A different tour weekly. Visit National Parks, Ancient Temples or Museums from the comfort of your home

Creative Writing 13:30 – 14:30
A creative writing group for all abilities. Engage in guided exercises and have the opportunity to share if you would like

A peer support group for those that live well managing hearing voices.
Music appreciation group – 14:00- 15:00
A fun social group environment for exploring a variety of music genres with a fresh take on how to appreciate music and song as a form of therapy in our lives to evoke positive change and improve confidence
Young persons Social Group 16-25 - 14:00-16:00 Fortnightly
For anyone between the ages of 16-25 we do a range of online activities such as quizzes, scavenger hunts, games and virtual tours. It’s a space for clients to meet new and like-minded people and build up confidence.

Practice different Art techniques. Friendly group open to all levels. A great way to socialize and meet new people - THIS IS AN INPERSON GROUP – 5 spaces available.
Tai Chi 10:00 – 11:00 and 12:00 – 13:00
Tai Chi for health and wellbeing for beginners. THIS IS AN INPERSON GROUP – 5 spaces for each session
